Story of the bean:
All coffee throughout the world descends from plants which originally grew wild in the highlands of Ethiopia. Within coffee’s birthplace, the Yirgachefe region is world-renowned for its distinctively floral and fruity coffees. Using modern processing techniques, this coffee was triple sorted by size, color, and density until the final product reaches a point of near-perfection. This pure expression of ancient heirloom coffee is unlike any other.
- Central American
My love of Central American coffee has been toppled by Ethiopian Yirgz. I now believe the taste of coffee is result of its soil. What do you think?
Cup of Goodness
Just a great, smooth cup of coffee with a hint of citric brightness. Beans from this region are my fav. This is an excellent example of why.
The Ethiopian is just as smooth as the first coffee we received!
Ethiopian Coffee is the Best!
Consumer Reports put me on to Colombe Coffees with their review of Ethiopia YirgZ. I tried it and liked it very much. I've order some of it every time I make an order. At Christmas I got a sampler box of Colombe Coffees. I think Ethiopia Guji Natural is the best coffee I have ever tasted. I can't wait until it comes back in season. Until then, I'm drinking Ethiopia YirgZ.
