Why you'll love it:
The delicate floral sweetness and refreshing citrus flavors of the Panamanian Geisha have made it the most famous coffee in the world.
Story of the bean:
The Geisha varietal has been produced for decades without exceptional results until, by chance, it reached Boquete, Panama. The growing conditions there, along with careful cultivation, produced a worldwide coffee sensation. The coffee from Hacienda La Esmeralda first ignited this phenomenon at the 2004 national cupping of Panamanian coffees where it was described as "God in a cup" and awarded 1st place. After 13 years of agricultural advancement and 8 more 1st place awards, Hacienda La Esmeralda has delivered another world-changing coffee.
