Stephen "ESPO" Powers was raised in Philadelphia, where he graduated from the University of the Arts before relocating to New York City in 1995. His alias, ESPO (Exterior Surface Painting Outreach), is notorious in the Graffiti and Contemporary Art world. ESPO's work spans several global public art projects, including his A Love Letter to the City murals in Philadelphia, and pieces of art showcased through publications and notable galleries across the world.
