Drastic differences in temperature on Mount Kenya between hot days and cold nights causes the coffee cherries grown there to develop complex acids and sugars. The resulting mosaic of flavors create an exhilarating cup that pops with citrus and soothes with sweet candy.
Story of the Bean:
Baragwi Farmer's Cooperative Society is the largest farmer's cooperative in Kenya and also one of the oldest. The cooperative unites over 15,000 producers protecting their interests while maintaining quality. From these trailblazing producers comes this coffee grown on the southern slope of Mount Kenya. The second highest mountain on the African continent, Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano boasting steep slopes and rich soil that produce incredibly vibrant and dynamic coffee.
