Why You'll Love It:
A rich history of coffee cultivation in Peru has resulted in this incredibly clean and complex offering. Surprisingly sweet with notes of floral citrus, El Guayacan is the pinnacle of quality in Peruvian coffee.
Story of the Bean:
In the Andes mountains of northern Peru, at the edge of the Amazon, the producers of Cajamarca have banded together to improve quality, increase productivity, and advocate for fair trade. Although it's the second largest coffee growing region in Peru, it is also the poorest. The cooperative now enables the smallholder farmers to produce extraordinary coffee in this perfectly suited environment, while also offering fair compensation. The El Guayacan shows a depth of complexity in it's chocolate-like sweetness and light floral qualities. A shining success and bright future for Peruvian producers.
Took my first sip. Thought, "that's pretty good." Swallowed, took a breath, and was astonished at the different flavors that emerged. Every cup was like this. Every sip: "that's good" followed by "oh ****, that's reaaalllllyy good coffee." Lovely, lovely stuff that made me a La Colombe convert.
Best coffee ever
This one has the best flavor. I love it.
I've always liked Peruvian coffee
Very good flavor. One of my favorites. The only problem was that La Columbe lost my order and I had to call customer service to inquire about it. The order had never been filled. They did send a replacement priority mail.
Great Tasting Coffee
This coffee is true to its cupping notes. The fudge taste this coffee has is awesome! My wife would never drink coffee with me until I introduced her to blue diamond from La Colombe. I brewed her some of this El Guayacan and she loved it! Thank you La Colombe for great coffee. Please bring back dangerous grounds.
