Story of the Bean:
Ibu Rahmah is the chairwoman of the Ketiara Cooperative, based in the mountains of Sumatra’s Aceh region. Under her leadership, the almost 900-member cooperative has gained recognition throughout northern Sumatra for producing only high-quality organic coffee. Their focus on equity as well as environmental and economic sustainability has made them leaders in their community as they herald the rapidly brightening future of Asian coffee.
