I was given Fishtown as a gift from my son awhile back while he was visiting PA. I love Bergomot (sp)? I have since ordered it 2 other times! Love it!!
Fine coffee, love La Colombe; but Fishtown not my taste
I am such a total fan of La Colombe's "Corsica" coffee, that almost every other coffee places a far #2 or farther down the list. I ordered a big variety of La Colombe coffees recently, and so far I still adore Corsica, and am pretty happy with Monaco and Louisiane (in that order)(though neither will knock Corsica off the top of my list, I love Corsica so). Fishtown places below these three. But that's for me; someone else may say that Fishtown is exactly the flavor they've been looking for. It was hard for me to pick between the 4-star & 3-star rating; for me it's a 3, but it's perfectly decent coffee, and someone else might rate it a 5-star. So I compromised at 4-stars. (Like the old quote: "Enquiring minds may disagree".)(I guess this is why we have horse races !)
Good acidity and body. There are some quakers, but that's okay. I'm giving four stars only because I believe light/medium roast blends can never really make it to 5 stars, though single origins dabble among all the stars. Overall a good blend. Would buy it consistently if I lived in the US.
Gone too soon!
Absolutely the best I’ve ever had! Only disappointment was when I realized that I was at the end of a Blessed journey with only a few beans left to grind.
Fabulous, decadent artisan blend. Aroma and taste are euphoric yet, refined. A taste right for our heart's heart. Let the beans, arise the hidden philosopher king, and artist within us all.
