JONATHAN
Meet Jonathan, a regular at our NoHo cafe in New York City for over 7 years as well as the designer and founder of @brewwatches. He's been coming to this cafe for 7 to 8 years now. His usual order is either a double shot of espresso or cold brew.
He is the designer and founder of the coffee-inspired watch brand @brew.watches over 9 years ago. He started it as a passion side project while he was working for other watch companies. But that side passion project turned into something more substantial. He saw such a positive life with it that he couldn’t stop.

ART SPIKOL
Every morning at La Colombe in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, you’ll find a man by the window drawing. Visitor after visitor stops to greet him. One woman thanks him for drawing a picture of her late husband that’s framed in her home. Another man stops to give him a big hug. Everyone seems to know Art Spikol.
“I can’t stop drawing, that’s why I call it a passion,” says Art. “It’s the most fun you can have sitting down.” Art is a long-time artist and illustrator who’s lived above the La Colombe Rittenhouse cafe for over 20 years. In his illustrious life he’s also had a long career as a writer, publishing over 300 articles and columns and several books. These days, he’s focused on drawing what’s in front of him.
Art specializes in sketching people and using his sketchbook to discover what makes us interesting. “Everybody’s interesting,” says Art. Many of his subjects include La Colombe cafe visitors, many of whom he offers to give the piece he’s just created of them. His work spans from cafe visitors to people he encounters around the city to portraits of friends, family, and even himself.
So when you see that man drawing in the window, stop and say hi.
NAZIR WAYMAN
Meet @nazirwayman, Philly photographer and La Colombe Dilworth regular. Aside from befriending anyone he comes across, Naz’s superpower is his eye. Through his photography, Naz captures fleeting moments and turns them into beautiful memories.
He's been coming to La Colombe actually since 2015 but to Dilworth for about 2 years. "I used to skate right across the street and this is the closest coffee shop with the best view you can get. I know every single barista here. I feel like that’s what La Colombe is for. There’s no WiFi, you don’t need to be on a computer. I love that. The amount of strangers I meet in here, it’s fantastic."
