Frequently Asked Questions

What Makes a Great Bag of Ground Coffee?

Ground coffee is whole bean coffee that has already been milled down to a specific size before packaging. All you need to do is measure your dose and brew.

Many people don't realize that grind size isn't one-size-fits-all. Different brewing methods need different sizes to extract properly. It is a deliberate choice made for how that coffee is meant to be brewed.

Drip, French Press, or Espresso: Which Grind Is Right for You?

The grind type on every bag tells you exactly how it was milled and what it was designed for. Our ground coffee is available in light, medium, and dark roast so you can shop by roast and grind type at the same time.

Drip Coffee Grind

Drip is a medium grind, calibrated for automatic drip machines and pour-over brewers. It's the most versatile format and the standard starting point for most home setups. Most of our ground coffee is available in drip grind, including Nizza, Corsica, Monaco, and Lyon, making it the most widely available format in our ground coffee collection.

French Press Ground Coffee

French press is a coarser grind. The longer steep time in a French press needs bigger particles to avoid over-extraction and bitterness. If you brew with a press, this is your grind. We offer French press grind for Corsica and Nizza, two of our most loved roasts and a natural fit for the richer cup a French press produces.

Espresso Ground Coffee

Espresso is the finest grind we offer. It's designed for machines that push pressurized water through tightly packed grounds. Using espresso grind in a drip machine will turn your coffee bitter, so this one is for espresso machines only. Nizza is the only blend we offer in espresso grind, and for good reason. It is our most popular espresso roast and pulls a clean, balanced shot every time.

Our Ground Coffee

We roast every bag in-house and grind each one precisely before it ships to you. There are no middlemen between the roaster and your kitchen counter, which means our ground coffee is fresh.
