Finca La Indonesia is a third generation family farm located in La Pradera town, La Unión, Nariño, close to the southern border of Colombia. Frank Rivas Torres and his 3 siblings currently run the farm. Over 80 years ago their grandfather was one of the first to plant coffee in the now-famed coffee region of Nariño. The Torres brothers are conscientious farm managers and pay particular attention to shade trees, water management, and soil conservation. In addition to coffee, they cultivate plantains, citrus, lulo, and corn.

The flavor profiles of La Indonesia’s coffees are stunning. Without fail their coffees jump off of the cupping table, demanding cuppers’ attention. This lot of Bourbon coffee was selected for ripeness using a Brix meter and floated for density sorting. The cherries were then dry fermented for 100-120 hours before drying on raised beds for 20 days. The cup offers a super-complex range of notes from passionfruit, to Syrah, dark fruits, and pithy preserved citrus. Pure deliciousness.
